I have integrated back into daily life.

Tomorrow I have a major should surgery to correct a detached something or other.
Not crazy about being chair-bound for some days while the pain level drops.

Pretty crazy how a person can go from a 240 mile hike to being immobile, but life is what it is, and I need this surgery to heal. Short-term pain, long-term gain.

At least I can watch videos about Schleswig-Holstein, Germany which is my goal for January of 2025 when I will walk the Jutland Jakobsweg along the Baltic Sea, or maybe the North Sea, or maybe both. LOL

Two Weeks To Go

Visited the physical therapist (Alex) yesterday, and she again strongly suggested that I give up pickleball with the Camino departure date so close. This time I listened, espeially because she gave me something else that I could do in the interim that would both help the hamstring slowly continue to heal, as well as replace the activity level of pickleball. So I am very measuredly adding jogging back to the routine.  It is more walking than jogging, but if it helps me heal, then that is a good thing. Training My Baltour backpack feels good. Packed everything well last night, so that when the alarm went off, I was able to jump out of bed, grab my backpack and head out to the community area without disturbing anyone else.  Waiting on the taxi in Portugalete to return us to Ontón and then we start walking. 9:10 a.m. Just finished a 1.25 mile 10% upgrade climb in just over an hour.
