Out of the question.  9:00 a.m. Deb and Mary have taken off for our next stage. I'm resting at the hostel Europa.  10:00 a.m. I've already talked to a Camino baggage service that I can use for the next couple of days to carry my backpack while I walk with a day pack. 11:15 a.m. 20 minute cab ride to Barro where we are staying tonight.

Day 14: From Comillas to Los Tánagos Date 28 Jul ( Sunday ) Weather Temperatures in the high 60s at the start, reaching the high 70s at the end, and once again the absolute high levels of humidity just make hiking tough. There's no way for the body to cool off. Constantly scrambling for shade. Today's Distance: 14 miles / 22 km Route and Stats Route Video Total This Camino: 121 miles. Temperature at the start of the hike was about 66°, but the humidity was also very high. Shortly after Comillas, ran into a series of hills. Walked around admiring the ambience, then took a coffee and orange juice break. 11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  @ 8.0 mi. Iglesia  de San Pedro rest stop / eat. Chatted with a young man from Finland. Turns out that the plan called for a approximate 19 mile day or more.  So we're taking a cab out of Santander to avoid the urban industrial zone and cut today's walk down to a more manageable 12 Mi.
