Day 14: From Comillas to Los Tánagos

WeatherTemperatures in the high 60s at the start, reaching the high 70s at the end, and once again the absolute high levels of humidity just make hiking tough. There's no way for the body to cool off. Constantly scrambling for shade.

On The Road

7:50 a.m. leave. Temperature at the start of the hike was about 66°, but the humidity was also very high. Shortly after Comillas, ran into a series of hills. Very challenging due to the high humidity.

10:20 - 11:10 a.m. Stopped for coffee and juice and water and toast

1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Break underneath the tree for a couple moments to relax and drink. And shoes off.

3 to 3:20 p.m. break in Serdio for something to drink before the final push to the hotel.

Good thing we stopped because when I put the hotel address in, I noticed that if we had pressed on with the Camino, we would have ended up walking way past the hotel before we could double back to it.

This is due to the way the roads are laid out.

Random Thought of the Day

Humidity, humidity, humidity.

Meaningful Moment / Notable Memories

Deb, Mary and I stopped along the way for a quick break. I always like laying out my rain slick on the grass for a chance to just sit under a tree.

It's my perfect tree picture moment.

Happen to be near a golf course

Even though we are near the end 634 national highway, then can be moments of beauty.

In the shade of a perfect tree
