On The Road
7:30 a.m. Wake up to pack our bags for the transport service. Don't you know that I've caught that cringe in my back again?
9:00 a.m. having breakfast in the hotel. Checked my baggage transport service and they've already delivered our bags to the Hotel Silvota.
10:00 a.m. Starting walking. Today is just 6 Mi because I need to evaluate my physical condition, regarding the lower back.
11:30 a.m. 3 miles in so about halfway through today's walk. Doing okay.
First hiking trail type greenery that I've seen in 5 or 6 days.
2:00 p.m. Arrived with minimal back problems.
Random Thought of the Day
I'm simply going to have to go find me a back doctor. Two twinges on this trip, and one earlier in the year. Something needs to be looked at.
The backpack transport service worked well from Oviedo to Llanera.

I was therefore surprised when they would not transport the backpacks from Llanera to Avilés.
Rita at customer support was great, and she explained why.
Oviedo to Llanera was essentially still headed to Santiago, even if not straight.
Oviedo ( Llanera ) to Avilés is definitely not in the direction of Santiago. Their system is only geared, understandably, to go towards Santiago.
It is a service for pilgrims headed to Santiago..
Meaningful Moment / Notable Memories
The Hotel Silvota is in a business park.
Well, I wasn't expecting expecting a lot of people on a Sunday afternoon, but literally everything is closed, to include the Repsol gas station and the cafeteria downstairs.
There's literally no place to buy anything within walking distance.
So for a late lunch we ordered bigger meals than we need, for takeout.
And the receptionist was a saint. She made me a special set of coffees on her own initiative: a regular coffee with milk and a decaf coffee with lactose-free milk.
I am enjoying your posts, Larry! Thank you for sharing your trip with us readers back home. I hope your back is feeling better.
